Sister Softies

Pin It Now!
Sophia and Olivia loved to go shopping.
They liked to try on clothes, find handbags to match their outfits, then walk around town looking very pretty.

Sometimes, Olivia would even let her sister borrow her favorite purse!

Sophia loved to play with her hair, and even bought herself a new yellow hair tie on a shopping trip.

One day, while the girls were relaxing in the park, two little girls asked if they could draw a picture of them and their great outfits.

"You two are so pretty," said the little girls.
Olivia and Sophia smiled, and said, "Of
course you can draw us! We will be very
still."

When the girls finished their drawings, they showed them to Sophia and Olivia, who were very suprised.
"Great job," they told the girls.
"Maybe next time we go shopping you can come with us!"

Girlie Girls!

Pin It Now!
This week I had a couple very girly little toys to make.
The first one came to me from a very proud grandmother.
Her granddaughter drew a portrait of her, and it seemed only natural to have it made into a 3D little softie.

I saw a tutorial on Pinterest a week or so ago for this cute little flower (the one in her hair) and I think they meant it to be for throw pillows...
But whatever, it can be used for softies! :)
So there are all kinds of kid's stories involving frogs...usually someone gets turned into one, or someone has to kiss one...Yuck!
But have you ever seen a pretty frog?
I mean a hand bag-toting, accessorized, girly girl of a frog?
I have! And she is sitting happily in my sewing room, awaiting her sister's completion. Her sister is a cute little orange haired doll...pictures coming soon.
Here is the little girly frog and her softie, huggable form...

Hope you all enjoyed these cuties, and just a friendly reminder from your favorite softie artist....
I have 10 slots left for "definatly recieve before Christmas" orders!
They're filling up fast, too!
Also, I'm going to try VERY hard to have my softie short story/drawing book out before Christmas so that they're available on Amazon. If you're intersted in having one (or two, or five!!), leave a comment here or email me, and I'll put you on my list of folks to email as soon as it's available :)
I appreciate all of your continued support, this has been a blast!
HAVE A WONDERFUL WEEK!
And who knows...I might have made more little ones this week that I just can't wait another week to post.

Here comes the bride...

Pin It Now!
Good Morning, All!
Normally, I'll put up a post once a week, of a couple of the cuties I've made that week, but I just can't wait a week to post these.

First and Foremost, Congrats Andy and Julia!

Someone who loves this couple very much
sent me this computer generated image
(I'm guessing their wedding blog?) to make softies from.

You guys...this was so. much. fun.

So, I set up a "photo studio" to take these pictures.
I must have taken a dozen pictures before I stopped myself and thought, "Ok, I need to stop. These are not real people.
They are toys." Ha!

Here are a few of the pictures.
I have to say, I'm going to be sad to box them up
and send them away.

Has anyone made it to this picture without smiling?

Have a great week, y'all!
More adorable softies to come :)

Foxy and a Little Green Monster

Pin It Now!
Hello and Happy almost Autumn, everyone!
Here in Texas we don't have all four seasons every year, and when we do, spring and autumn seem to be abbreviated.
Here's hoping we actually get autumn this year though :)

Our newest adorable softies come from Emily and Jennifer.

Emily drew...rather she OIL PAINTED a cute little fox named Foxy. Here is the painting that her dad sent over to me:

I just can't get over how cute the little tail is!

Here is her Foxy softie

Sniffing around for possible bits of treats my dogs left behind...

LOVE this sweet little fox.

Jennifer's mom sent me a picture of a little green monster that she was hoping to have a soft squishy pillow made from.
The green pigtails are adorable!
So I went on a hunt for soft, squeezable green fleece (that way it's washable too!) and the finished monster turned out to be not so scary of a monster...

Happy First day of September everyone!

Just a friendly reminder: if you'd like a softie made for a special kiddo (or adult!) in your life, and you want it in time for Christmas, please get your orders in this month! At the moment, my waiting list is backed up to Thanksgiving, but there's still time!

Have a great week, y'all!
