Good Morning, everyone!

If you're a subscriber to my FB page, you'll know about this, but for those of you who aren't, I wanted to share!

My newest adventure with Kid Inspired Creatures is a community organization to keep kids warm in our "Texas winters"

Here are a few photos of our recent hat drive... It was amazing, y'all!

    

 We do have a name for this endeavor...

It's called Hats for B.R.A.T.S; that's Brilliant, Radiant, Artistic, Talented students.

Someone...that we know...got  new sewing machine for Christmas :)

This has been quite the learning experience, and I'm having a blast appying all the new bells and whistles to my softies.

Since the last post was mostly infomation, this one will be the softies I've completed :)

Cake-A-Roo! Half cake, Half Kangaroo!

Madelin's mom wanted to make sure the purple flower she picked and pressed for her drawing made it to the softie.

Camille's mom said she especially loved the color blue, so the little black and white robot turned blue :)

A giraffe-vampire? Too cute...

Excuse me, little bee...I'm a bit concerned you might squash that flower...

 Super cuddly, soft, and with purple hair!

Hello Everyone!

After a very busy couple of weeks getting the book out, and working on a couple intricate, detailed peices, I'm finally back in action! I LOVE being able to use a little artistic liscense on fabrics, and interpretation of drawings!

 

 

Here are a few of the cuties I've done in the last couple weeks...

 

 

This is Bluebell. She was drawn by a very creative little girl in Australia named Sophie.

 

 

Next, I remade a bunny that belonged to a very special mom.

I was told that the little bunny once had arms, and to please add them....and it turned out adorable!

Then, Chloe and her brother sent in a couple fun photos...

 

Here is Chloe's Cat with a FANTASTIC tail. How do you not love this tail?

A few months ago, I made "Masterpeice Lady" for a sweet little girl named Emerson.
Some mean person stole the box right off their porch!
(Whoever you are...you should be ashamed of yourself)
After searching through my delivery confirmation receipts, Emerson's mom and I discovered it had indeed been delivered...and stolen. So....we made it better....softer...stronger...
 :)
Ok, I'm being a nerd, I'll stop. haha.

 

I also got to do a self portrait of a little girl named Kristen.
This one, y'all...I wanted to keep.

 

 

 

It's been a very fun month, and this year has just FLOWN by.

I"m thinking of doing some kind of Christmas giveaway...

Maybe a voucher for a softie with a copy of the book?

Hooray! Softie Tales is Available!

 

 

 

Good morning to all of you! I am so much excited to announce that Softie Tales, Volume 1, is available for purchase through Amazon!

I have been working on this book since mid-May, and finally, holding it in my hands, is a bit surreal. I hope all the kiddos included in this one are just as excited to see their name and artwork in a real, published book that will be distributed all over the world!

 

A HUGE THANK YOU to all the parents who have allowed their kids to be a part of this book. Without the kids, there is no book!

It has been a busy month, y'all!

In this single month, I have acquired a waiting list that stretches to the middle of January! It's very exciting!

I appreciate all of you who have posted my blog on Pinterest, too!

Members of my family were telling me on my last trip home, "I think we saw you on Pinterest..." It's been a very exciting year, and I'm SO looking forward to next year.

Another thing....THE BOOK!

I have ordered the second proof of the FIRST Softie Tales book, and if all looks good today, it will be available November 1! I will post the link for ordering it here AND my FB page (by the way, I have a FB page!)

There are a few other activities I'd like to get going with Kid Inspired Creatures, and I'd like YOUR input, as other artists, moms, dads, grandparents, or who ever you might be.

I've "tested" the book with a few kiddos and parents and the responses I have received are incredible.
I've even had some moms try to pre-order it!
So stay tuned, y'all, it'll be ready before we know it, and I'll be celebrating with some kind of giveaway here...Maybe a toy and book to a special kiddo...or two?

Two Little Kitties

I know I've said this before...

But I know I've done well when I don't want to send off the little guys that I make. These two little cats are no different. They just look so cute on my sewing table keeping me company!

However, the show must go on, and so off they go to their girls. Erin and Emma, your little gems are on the way!

There's a very cool ghost monster coming next, as well as a native american warrior! Keep your eyes peeled!

 

ALSO, big news! The first softie tales book went to publishing last week. (SO EXCITED)
